OUR FIRST COMMUNITY VIDEO: LAUREN JIEYE OF BETWEEN US PORTRAITS

WELCOME TO OUR FIRST COMMUNITY VIDEO SHARE!
As a means of living Movement Medicine’s Community Ethos of making this dance space a place to:
* get to know each other beyond dance
* share our skills and gifts with each other
AND
* inspire one another to keep living beyond this current paradigm

I am asking those that share their gifts within our dance space a few questions – and then filming their answers so we can “feel” them!

Here is this week’s Co-contributor Lauren B. Jieye of Between Us Portraits, Lauren “Lolo” Jie-ye – www.BetweenUsPortraits.com

This is another practice of USING OUR VOICE and allowing yourself to BE SEEN – beyond our closing circle.

MMD co-contributor Loloon Movement Medicine Dance and her passionsI dance to spend quality time with myself, spirit, and community. I’m inspired by how MMD engages with safety, responsibility, and freedom on the dance floor—it is doing the daring and conscious work of exploring and experimenting in pursuit of all three of these things.I am passionate about my gift and skill so that I can be my best self in the world. My life, aptitudes and bliss revolve around common themes: open-hearted connection, painting, and animals. I create these portraits of people’s spiritual-emotional connections with their pets. This project is healing, thought-provoking, inspiring, moving people to tears. By following the natural themes unique to my life, I’m bringing something good into the world and I venture to say that it could be everyone’s duty to to seek and heed their natural themes, or calling, and I further venture to say, that that path would be beneficial to the world in exactly the way nature needs you to be.
